The Madrid segment of the "Newsroom Europe" initiative was a deep dive into the realms of media dynamics and European governance. Participants engaged in a week of immersive experiences, including insightful discussions at Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, a visit to the Congreso de los Diputados, and workshops on media literacy and data journalism. One of the highlights was the meeting with Director General of EU Integration and Coordination of General Affairs Mr Salvador Rueda Rabanal, to get first-hand information about an EU-Council Presidency, its work and preparation. The week concluded with a flavorful tapas tour through the heart of Madrid, providing not only professional insights into European narratives but also a taste of the city's vibrant cultural tapestry.
