Every day, we are confronted with new reports of devastating environmental disasters that leave us feeling powerless. The overwhelming facts about planetary boundaries and future predictions are pushing many into climate fatalism. But how can we counter this, while staying resilient and capable of action?

The Climate Dialogue provides a space for both scientific insights into environmental disasters and climate resilience.

In the first part of the event, we will examine recent flood disasters—one of the most common and destructive consequences of climate change in Central Europe. Scientific experts will explore the causes and consequences of floods, explaining how, like other climate disasters, they affect us all and cross borders.

In the second part, with input from environmental psychology, we will learn how to guard against paralyzing climate fatalism and how to develop strategies for building greater resilience and solidarity.

The “Climate Dialogue” offers an opportunity to deepen your own understanding of the complex challenges of climate protection and to use the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts and like-minded people.

Who is the “Climate Dialogue” for?

  • Experts from the fields of environment, energy and sustainability
