With the rise of temperatures and the growing number of climate disasters, the need for adaptability and resilience of our surroundings is becoming increasingly crucial. The project “Climate x Borders” wants to encourage an international exchange to find solutions that can be implemented across borders.

As the urban population across the world continues to grow, cities are becoming increasingly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Therefore, this year’s seminar will focus on the topic “Cities in a changing climate” by looking at the challenges of cities in respect to water, temperature and biodiversity. During the 4-day seminar, we will analyse the effects of climate change in urban areas as well as finding strategies for more adaptable, zero-emissions cities. Through a combination of lectures, excursions and discussions, you will develop your own ideas to create climate resilient cities of the future.

The seminar takes place at the European Academy Berlin. Participation is free of charge. Accommodation and travel costs will be covered for participants joining from Poland.
