To this day, women remain unequal in many societal contexts. In the Europe is Female project young women from Czechia, Sweden and Germany are brought together to engage with socially and politicaly important issues of gender injustice.

As part of our Europe is Female project, we are excited to invite you to a special evening dedicated to inclusivity, feminist strategies, and creative resistance in shrinking civic spaces. Our featured guest for the evening is Marcela Villanueva, co-founder of Sorora e.V., a Berlin-based collective working at the intersection of art, feminism, and social change.

In her talk, Marcela Villanueva will share insights into Sorora’s intersectional approach to platforming marginalized voices, challenging systemic inequalities, and building strong alliances across Europe. Drawing from her own practice and the broader context of civic engagement, she will explore the current challenges faced by grassroots movements and the vital importance of solidarity in today’s political climate.

The event will include a 45-minute input session and Q&A, providing space for reflection, dialogue, and audience interaction. We will also introduce our ongoing project, showcase select artistic works from this year’s participants, and host a participatory element focused on civic challenges and strategies for collective empowerment.

Join us for an inspiring and interactive evening that aims to strengthen our shared commitment to inclusive and equitable futures. We are excited to welcome you and hear your opinions and perspectives!
