Désirée Biehl has been assisting the European Academy seminar team since January 2017. The points of main emphasis in her work include the international visit tours which are carried out on behalf of the German Federal Foreign Office, and the project known as ‘Europa in der Schule – Lehrerfortbildungen in Nordrhein-Westfalen'(Europe in schools – teachers’ continuing professional education in North Rhine-Westphalia). She had already come to know the Academy in 2013 during a six-months’ trainee work experience.
From 2014-2015, Désirée Biehl undertook an M.A. in Security Studies at Sheffield University, UK. Following this, she completed a Master’s degree in European Studies in Nice and Berlin. Her first degree course, including time spent abroad in Bologna (Italy), in politics and public administration at the University of Constance in Germany, was concluded with the award of a B.A. degree.
